Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in Nottingham, England. Ideal candidate: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules On the job you will handle: • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off Full-time with occasional weekends.
