Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in San Mateo County, California. The job is in a garment export house. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep On the job you will handle: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
