Gas metal arc welder — Marathon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Marathon County, Wisconsin. The job is at a busy production line. Day-to-day duties: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
