Steel fixing chargehand • Twiggs County, Georgia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Twiggs County, Georgia. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
