Vacancy available: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Shetland Islands, Scotland. The job is at a new-build housing development. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline Your main tasks: • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster 5+ years on the tools preferred.
