Join our team: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Cedar County, Nebraska. You will be based at a busy construction site. The role involves: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment Requirements: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot Part-time with flexible hours.
