We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings.
