We are recruiting: reinforcement fitter (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Scioto County, Ohio. You will be based on a busy residential building site. Day to day you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time, day shift.
