Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Brown County, Ohio. The job is at a stone quarry. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance The role involves: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations 4+ years on the tools preferred.
