Occupational health and safety officer • Morton County, North Dakota

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Morton County, North Dakota. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Day-to-day duties: • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
