Steel fixer • Howard County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Howard County, Iowa. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. On the job you will handle: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
