Elevator repair technician wanted in DeWitt County

Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in DeWitt County, Illinois. Requirements: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate The role involves: • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
