Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Newaygo County, Michigan. Day-to-day duties: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals 4+ years on the tools preferred.
