We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Spencer County, Indiana. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. The role involves braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
