Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Harlan County, Kentucky. The role involves strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 5+ years on the tools preferred.
