Tailor machinist — Seneca County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Seneca County, New York. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance.
