Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Haywood County, North Carolina. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
