Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Kendall County, Illinois. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Part-time with flexible hours.
