Gang bricklayer wanted in Albany County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Albany County, New York. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
