Machinist — Scotland County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Scotland County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
