Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Butler County, Pennsylvania. You will work in a die and mould making unit. Day-to-day duties: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Ideal candidate: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
