Vacancy available: fabricator-welder (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Giles County, Virginia. You will be based on an industrial construction site. The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Six days a week, one day off.
