Heavy equipment operator wanted in Sussex County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Sussex County, Virginia. You will be based at a road-building project. Your main tasks: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Understanding of safe digging near underground services 2+ years on the tools preferred.
