Backhoe loader operator • Hood River County, Oregon

We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Hood River County, Oregon. The job is in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience.
