Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in City and Borough of Salford, England. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
