Argon welding operator wanted in Chesterfield County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Full-time, day shift.
