We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Saline County, Illinois. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
