Counter butcher wanted in Columbus County

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Columbus County, North Carolina. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder.
