Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in Borough of Thurrock, England. The job is in a tool room. You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Day to day you will read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54). Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
