Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Benton County, Iowa. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE You will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
