Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Houghton County, Michigan. The job is at a garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure 5+ years on the tools preferred. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
