Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool.
