Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal roofing fitter in Wabash County, Illinois. The job is at a roofing and cladding contractor. Day to day you will lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling; fix clay and concrete tiles onto the battens; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; fit valley gutters, fascias and soffits; carry out leak inspections and patch repairs. You should have: • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day 5+ years on the tools preferred. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
