Finishing presser — Camden County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a finishing presser in Camden County, New Jersey. You will work at a dry cleaner's. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
