Gtaw welder wanted in Cass County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Cass County, Illinois. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
