Garment machinist — Concordia Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
