Domestic gas engineer wanted in Stephenson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Stephenson County, Illinois. You will be based on residential and apartment building sites. Day-to-day duties: • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Full-time, day shift.
