Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. Your main tasks: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists Requirements: • Own basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
