Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Nelson County, Virginia. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
