We are recruiting: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Sacramento County, California. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
