Fettler wanted in Worcester County

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Worcester County, Maryland. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Part-time with flexible hours.
