Garden maintenance worker — DeKalb County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in DeKalb County, Alabama. You will be based in a public park. Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage On a typical shift you will rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs.
