We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Jackson County, Georgia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends.
