Immediate opening: sausage maker (Indiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sausage maker in Floyd County, Indiana. The job is in a supermarket meat department. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required The role involves: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
