The role involves check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
