Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Hidalgo County, Texas. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches The role involves: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
