Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Howard County, Texas. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
