Aluminium TIG welder — Rock County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Rock County, Minnesota. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Your main tasks: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
