Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Rensselaer County, New York. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Full-time, day shift.
