You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
